Trying to be good enough for God is not the answer.
He wants you to come to Him just the way you are and then He will change you from the inside out.
Isaiah 59:12
For our transgressions are multiplied before you,
and our sins testify against us;
for our transgressions are with us,
and we know our iniquities:
transgressing, and denying the Lord,
and turning back from following our God
64:6
We have all become like one who is unclean,
and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Whoever believes in him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe is condemned already,
because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God
