But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord
Love the Lord your God with all your hear and with all your soul. This is the greatest command given to us to follow. If we follow this command what would we see in the outward appearance of our lives? Would we worry so much? Would we be blind to the needs of others? Would our time be spent differently? Would our generosity be more? Would we be kinder? Would we see people in a more positive light? These are questions each of us could ask ourselves. Everyday we will have opportunity to love Him more and deeper. Today is a new day, purpose in your heart to love Him more and be wanting to be used by Him for His glory and honor.
Matthew 22:35
And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets
Deuteronomy 6:4
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. Luke 10:27
