1 Corinthians 4:4-5
For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me.
I am always intrigued by the verses in Romans where it says “For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.” We will all come before God, be judged and will give account for what we have done in this life. What do we use to govern what we are to give account for? What is guiding these thoughts? I fear we do not spend enough time in His word to know. I fear we allow what is accepted by the culture we live in to dictate our thoughts and actions on how, when, where, and why we serve God. Spend time in His word – lean not onto your own understanding – do not listen to what the culture says is acceptable – listen to what He is saying to your heart through His word.
