14.h.  “But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,”

Malachi 3:16  Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed his name. “They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.

Job 28:28   And he said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”

Psalms 33:18    Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,

Psalms 111:10    The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding

Psalms 112:1     Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in his commandments!

Isaiah 50:10    Who among you fears the LORD and obeys the voice of his servant? Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the LORD and rely on his God.

Acts 9:31    So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

Hebrews 3:13    But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 10:24    And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,

Hebrews 4:12-13   For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.  And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Do you ever wonder if we rightly apply God’s Word when it says;  Exhort one another, Stir up one another, Greatly delights in His commandments, fear Him”.  How do we exhort and stir up?  Do we do it with kindness, forgiveness, love, being at peace, being hopeful, being joyful, being anxious about nothing, singing praises, honoring Him above all else?  How do we rightly apply God’s word?  I think it starts with reverence, thankfulness, and awe of God and His grace, mercy, and love.  It is very personal and resides deep within our hearts and mind.  The hunger and thirst for His Word are greater than things of this world.  His Word takes first place.  These intentional choices and God-honoring commitments are not to be taken lightly.  We ought to be on fire for the Lord Jesus Christ.  Examine your heart and mind.  Are Jesus Christ and God’s Word filling you up into a blazing fire of a life that honors and glorifies Jesus Christ or is it an ember without as much of a spark?  Read His Word and allow and yield to the Holy Spirit in its application in your life.

If I am troubled: “Come onto me all who are heavy with burden and I will give you rest.”

If it is doubting: “Now to Him who is able to abundantly more than we as or imagine”.

If it is about wisdom: “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom”

If it is about money: “man cannot serve both money and God”

If it is about strength: “I am your strength and shield”

However this would be one of my favorite Psalms 139 23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!”
