All Things Are Possible

Psalms 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Sometimes I wonder if we think we will never see trials or troubles or have dark times or sickness. Scripture is very clear that we will. We are made whole in these times of weakness and when the issues we are facing are beyond our ability to have any influence. Paul rested in weakness. He feared not what God was asking him to do and say. He saw the power of Christ through his weakness. David proclaimed God as His strength, light, power, and salvation. “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me”. There surely is a darkness in the world. This darkness looks not to God but rather to man. Free choice allows us to choose the light or stay in darkness. Free choice in the light of God gives us power, strength, hope, salvation, and the ability to do all things through Him. Free choice to stay in darkness gives us false hopes, power, strength, and no hope of salvation. We freely choose to open the door of our heart and mind to the light and power of God. We freely choose to believe, listen, follow and obey. I hear so much fear and hatred these days which does not reflect the light of God. I wonder if God has given people a spirit of delusion in one last attempt to draw them out of the darkness. Are you facing any darkness in your life? Open the door to God and you will find rest, peace, power, and hope for your heart and soul and mind.

Psalms 24:1 The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

Psalms 89:11 The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours; the world and all that is in it, you have founded them. The north and the south, you have created them;

Deusteronomy 10:13 Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth with all that is in it.

I have little say as anything that comes to mind is already limiting. Know that God is awesome, mighty, and creator of all there is. Humbly serving, honoring and glorifying Him is the purpose of our existence. We make a choice to either serve and honor Him or not. His word is our guide to begin to understand His holiness, love, mercy, grace, wrath, fury, judgement, plan of salvation, hope, heaven, hell, and eternity. Seek His word and guidance. Listen and obey.

“For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.”

Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

Isaiah 40:22-26 It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them like a tent to dwell in; who brings princes to nothing, and makes the rulers of the earth as emptiness. Scarcely are they planted, scarcely sown, scarcely has their stem taken root in the earth, when he blows on them, and they wither, and the tempest carries them off like stubble. To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him? says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name; by the greatness of his might and because he is strong in power, not one is missing.

Have you ever read scripture and your eyes have been opened to God’s greatness. These are scripture that were recorded over thousands of years proclaiming God’s awesome power and creation. Our God is alive, awesome in power, and might. As we end a year and start a new one, begin it with purpose to renew your walk with Him with the choice to humble serve, honor and glorify Him each day. Discipline yourself to spend time in His word each day and watch (as the old hymn says) “morning by morning new mercies I see.” HAPPY NEW YEAR IN THE LORD
