Psalms 113:5-6 Who is like the LORD our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth?
Isaiah 57:15 For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

Is it possible that we have become children of the 21st century and our inner being (heart, soul, and mind) takes hold of its purpose in life from the current dance we seem bound hand in hand with technology? It seems to give enough noise and motion in our life that we move in sync with the multitudes step by step on paths that seek no presence of God. These paths blindly lead us further and further away from God’s presence and meaning in our life. These paths are able to give us pleasure along the way and enough people are on it that makes it comfortable to be on and not needing to give thought to the presence of God in our lives. On these paths, we do not hear the conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit. We see no need to have a Heavenly Father who continually forgives because we are resting on the big event of salvation when all our sins were washed away by the death and resurrection of Jesus. We see very little need of speaking to Him unless there are trials and troubles in our lives. We don’t recognize that He exists but for these times of need.
A true heart after God speaks as though God is present, God is Holy, God is worthy, God is listening, God is watching, and God is able to speak and direct those who are called by His name. They daily seek to be in His presence and realize that He is an active powerful, mighty, steadfast, faithful, awesome, and loving God. They see that though God as looking down on heaven and earth He is present in both all of the time. They seek to serve, honor, and obey Him. They speak to Him because they know He is there and is active in the lives of those who desire and seek His daily presence.
